          Your Market Needs You!

Are you interested in locally produced food, crafts, meeting people, like selling and having some fun on a Saturday morning? The Market is calling for volunteers to help with the running of the market. The more volunteers involved with the market will ensure that we can spread the load and share the responsiblity of this important community market. Please contact the market by emailing admin@wallinfordlocalproducersmarket.com

Wallingford Local Producers Market  runs every Saturday morning between 10am and 1pm in the Regal Centre in the centre of town.

The market was founded on the following principles:-

  • To make available produce grown or produced within a 30 mile radius of Wallingford, sourcing ingredients, wherever possible from within that area.

  • To educate and promote the benefits of locally produced food and other products thereby supporting a vibrant and dynamic local economy.

  • To work with other organisations to help and support the local economy and other key aspects of the area.

The market was started by a number of the current stallholders as a means to reach the local community. Over the years the market has grown and helped a number of local businesses start.

The range of produce available is growing and each month there is a regular number of enquiries from potential new stall holders. This shows the benefit and strength of the market to the community. The produce available ranges from meat (pork, beef, lamb), fruit and vegetables, plants, bread, cheeses, wines, beers, cakes, ready prepared food, chocolate, jams, preserves, crafts including wood, knitting, jewellery, cosmetics, pottery, photography, painting, and much more. The market also runs a café so that you can get a cup of tea or coffee and a slice of home-made cake, and read the paper before or after filling up your shopping basket.
